Details and common questions
Which files are supported?
One PDF.
What result will I receive?
One PDF containing the changes you choose to make.
What should I know before using it?
- OCR is not included, so scanned text cannot be detected.
- Pages with replacements are flattened on export.
- Flattening removes searchable text, links, forms, and annotations on affected pages.
Why can’t I select text in a scan?
A scan is usually an image and requires OCR, which PDF Eye does not currently provide.
Does replaced text remain searchable?
No. A page containing replacements is intentionally flattened during export.
