Security and file handling

Last reviewed: August 29, 2026.

Document processing boundary

PDF Eye processes document bytes, filenames, extracted text, signatures, annotations, and generated files inside your browser. PDF Eye does not upload, store, use for AI training, or share this document content. Closing or refreshing the active tab clears the working document session.

Services outside the document workspace

Firebase supports authentication, eligible subscription access, and consent-based product analytics. Stripe processes payment and subscription information. Advertising services may operate on public site pages. These services do not receive document bytes or extracted document content from PDF Eye.

Transport and browser security

The public site is served over HTTPS. Browser isolation and the security of your device still matter: keep your browser updated, use a trusted device, and close the tab after processing a sensitive document.
